Responsibilities
- Conduct Safety meetings through classroom and hands on training.
- Conduct all forms of training as requested by the company, such as Safeland, H2S clear, Defensive Driving, etc.
- Build and keep updated training records for the customer such as sign in sheets, test, certificates, and invoices.
- Conduct Fit Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, and Audio testing.
- Able to build and update power points according to the industry standards and regulations.
- Familiar with OSHA, NIOSH, and the Texas Railroad Commision standards and Regulations, and able to stay updated.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials and technical instruments are functional and calibrated.
- Ability to communicate with customers both in person and on the phone.
- Some travel will be required to perform the job
- Able to plan ahead of time for classes, Etc.
- Able to function well in a high paced and stressful environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Word, Xcel, and other related Software
- Able to perform other duties as handed down by the training Manager and other upper Management.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English / Spanish is Required.
- High School Diploma or Graduate of the GED Program
- Associate or bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
- Experience teaching and or instructing students in a classroom setting preferred but not required.
- Texas Driver License Required.
- Certified Instructor in Safeland, H2S Clear, Etc., preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and Regulations.
- Experience in Job Site Audits preferred but not required
- Experience with DOT FMCSA, DOT audits and compliance preferred but not required
- Must be able to travel, and work in either cold or hot weather
- Must be able to lift 30 to 50 pounds at a time
- Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
