Job Summary : < / strong> As an HVAC Chiller Technician you will be responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems including chillers pumps and advanced rooftop units. This role requires a highly skilled technician with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and a commitment to providing exceptional service.< / p>
Key Responsibilities : < / strong>< / h3>
Perform maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on commercial and industrial chiller systems including centrifugal screw scroll and reciprocating chillers.< / li>
Diagnose and resolve issues with refrigeration circuits compressors evaporators condensers and other system components.< / li>
Work on water source heat pumps (WSHP)< / strong> including maintenance and troubleshooting of water loops and heat exchange systems.< / li>
Service and maintain pumps< / strong> used in HVAC systems including chilled water and condenser water pumps.< / li>
Install maintain and troubleshoot rooftop units (RTUs)< / strong> and advanced systems like Trane IntelliPaks< / strong>.< / li>
Perform maintenance and repairs on selfcontained watercooled units (SWUDs)< / strong>.< / li>
Conduct system performance tests and ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems and associated equipment.< / li>
Work with building automation systems (BAS) to monitor and adjust chiller and HVAC performance.< / li>
Interpret technical manuals blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.< / li>
Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs and maintenance.< / li>
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates and recommendations.< / li>< / ul>
Qualifications and Skills : < / strong>< / h3>
To excel in this role candidates should meet the following qualifications : < / p>
Education and Certifications : < / strong>< / h4>
High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical or trade school certification in HVAC systems (preferred).< / li>
EPA Section 608 Certification (required).< / li>
Manufacturerspecific training or certifications (e.g. Trane Carrier York) (preferred).< / li>
State HVAC or refrigeration license (if required by location).< / li>< / ul>
Experience : < / strong>< / h4>
Minimum of 35 years of experience as an HVAC technician with a focus on chiller systems.< / li>
Handson experience with water source heat pumps (WSHP)< / strong> pumps< / strong> rooftop units (RTUs)< / strong> IntelliPaks< / strong> and selfcontained watercooled units (SWUDs)< / strong>.< / li>
Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems.< / li>< / ul>
Technical Skills : < / strong>< / h4>
Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and principles.< / li>
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical electrical and control issues in HVAC systems.< / li>
Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.< / li>
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and blueprints.< / li>< / ul>
