What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian ICU Technician/Assistant position at Long Animal Hospital & Emergency Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Veterinary ICU Staff is responsible for creating relationships with clients while ensuring the patients receive the best medical care while hospitalized in the ICU. As an integral part of the company, the ICU staff is responsible for communicating with the doctors about the patients in our care and working closely with the doctor to carry out necessary treatments.
The positions are responsible for maintaining key performance indicators and have a clear intention to improve their personal, professional and financial goals. The role of a Veterinary Technician/Assistant will be skilled in medical terminology, client communication, be inspiring to others and have the patient’s best interest in mind.

ICU TECHNICIAN/ASSISTANT CAPABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Monitors hospitalized and medical boarding patients while keeping direct and constant communication with the veterinarian
- Understanding of Veterinary Medical Terminology and common Veterinary Medical Conditions
