ABOUT THE POSITION
Long Beach Community College District is seeking a dynamic, qualified, and experienced individual to join our faculty as a full-time instructor in the Global Trade & Logistics program. The successful candidate will teach logistics, supply chain management, and related courses, while contributing to curriculum development, industry expertise, and departmental activities. The position is tenure-track, and the faculty member will be expected to participate in professional development, service to the college and community, and continuous improvement of the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach a variety of logistics, supply chain management, and related courses to students at the certificate and associate degree levels.
- Develop curriculum and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with industry standards and student learning outcomes.
- Provide academic advising and career guidance to students, supporting their academic and professional goals.
- Participate in department and college-wide committees, including curriculum review, program assessment, and institutional planning.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in logistics and supply chain management, integrating new technologies and practices into course content.
- Maintain regular office hours and engage in student support activities outside of class.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry professionals to ensure the relevancy and effectiveness of the Global Trade & Logistics program.
- Engage in professional development activities and maintain knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning.
