Job Overview
We’re seeking a vigilant and enthusiastic Lifeguard to safeguard our newly remodeled pool and support a vibrant aquatics program. This role is ideal for someone
with strong swimming skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for creating a positive experience for members of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor pool activities to identify and address safety hazards promptly.
Provide emergency care, including First Aid and CPR, until medical professionals arrive.
Assist with pool maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Enforce pool rules and policies to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere.
Support swim lesson programs and special events, such as pool parties, as directed by the Pool Manager.
Assist patrons with inquiries or needs, delivering excellent customer service.
Monitor weather conditions and adjust activities to prioritize safety.
Maintain accurate activity or incident reports as required.
Qualifications
Minimum age of 16 years.
Current American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Certification (or equivalent) with First Aid and CPR (required).
Physically fit, with strong swimming ability and agility to respond to emergencies.
Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse, family-oriented membership.
Previous lifeguarding or related experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Pool Manager and assistant senior lifeguard.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, mid-May through Labor Day weekend.
Physical ability to lift 25 lbs. and work outdoors in summer conditions.
Responsible, proactive attitude with a focus on safety and member satisfaction.
Multi-season commitment preferred.
Schedule
Seasonal position, mid-May through Labor Day weekend.
Part-time or full-time hours available, with flexibility as needed (up to 40 hours/week).
Compensation
