Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Camp Health Director to oversee our summer camp program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and education administration and experience working with students in a camp or educational setting. As Camp Health Director, you will be available and act in a responsible manner for health safety for all campers. This position is from June 23 until August 22, 2025 for 9 weeks of summer camp.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a safe environment for all participants.
- Coordinate daily health related activities and resource management.
- Foster a positive camp culture by promoting teamwork, inclusivity, and respect among campers and staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and stakeholders regarding health issues that come up.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback from campers and staff to make necessary adjustments for future sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field is preferred; experience in health education administration is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with students in a camp or educational setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in planning activities and managing resources.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports the growth of all campers.
Any added skills related to teaching ( in the arts or sciences) is a plus, and can augment the role of LBIF Camp Health Director.
As part of the LBIF team, your role is important in shaping the experiences of young learners during their time at camp, ensuring they leave with lasting memories and a valuable experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
