The IT Analyst plays a crucial role in planning, developing, analyzing, and monitoring the financial and operational performance of Information Technology department and projects. Under the direction of the Executive Director and the Vice President of Information Technology, this position ensures the efficient allocation of resources and supports data-driven decision-making to enhance services provided to the organization. Key responsibilities include analyzing departmental budgets, tracking expenditure trends, and forecasting future needs for the IT Department. In addition, conduct cost benefit analysis for major investments and projects. This role entails performing the necessary duties either independently or in collaboration with others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Conduct in-depth analyses of IT resource allocation and system utilization to optimize efficiency and reduce operational expenses.
- Track and report on IT budget variances, identifying potential risks and opportunities related to software licensing, hardware procurement, and service contracts.
- Assist in the development, preparation, and monitoring of the agency’s IT budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology strategy.
- Provide data-driven insights and analysis for internal and external stakeholders to support decision-making on IT investments.
- Review IT budgetary and operational adjustments throughout the year, assessing the fiscal and service impact of technology upgrades, security enhancements, and infrastructure changes.
- Support the development of multi-year IT plans and projections to ensure sustainability and scalability of technology initiatives.
- Recommend process improvements and assist in the implementation of new IT policies, asset management tools, or workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assess and optimize IT service delivery methods, system performance, and helpdesk support procedures for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Team to data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and best practices in Information Technology through professional development activities.
- Assisting users with technical issues as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required. Two years of professional experience in data analysis, IT budgeting, financial planning, or a related field is required.
