Position Purpose
The Material Handler ensures that all necessary equipment and supplies are provided to technicians/ installation personnel, sourced from the warehouse, supply houses, and job stock. They manage the receipt, handling, movement, and storage of project devices into inventory. Additionally, they oversee the dispatch of trucks and ensure the timely delivery of materials to job sites. The Material Handler works to prevent material shortages and foster strong relationships with project managers, field crews, and product suppliers.
Compensation Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hr. plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Correctly label and move stock and inventory from one location to another, sometimes utilizing forklifts or pallet jacks to do so.
• Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
• Keep the warehouse area clean and organized to ensure safety.
• Comply with all safety regulations.
• Receive and track incoming equipment for projects in separated job stock locations.
• Write up delivery tickets for all goods and materials leaving the warehouse for jobsites.
• Assist with the movement and tracking of tools, ladders, and gang boxes.
• Review project bill of materials from purchasing and shop inventory for available stock.
• Handle returns, warranty, and manufacture RMAs.
• Assist fleet vehicle maintenance, maintain spares, and re-assign as necessary during servicing of active vehicles.
• Pursue return of surplus or defective equipment and follow up to obtain factory credits.
• Back up Warehouse Coordinator in taking incoming calls from field crew and coordination of deliveries.
• Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify; complete paperwork or forms required for documentation.
• Prepare and stage outgoing orders for delivery in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
• Receive training and take directions from Warehouse Coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• 1 years of prior related work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Computer literacy.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
• Skilled in forklift operation.

Physical Requirements
• This work may involve standing for long periods, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
• Ability to climb ladders and function at heights.
