What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handy Person (Seasonal) – Vacation Rentals position at Long & Foster?
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyperson to assist with the upkeep of our vacation rental properties. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position involves general maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring a high standard of service for our guests. Seasonal (May – September) 40 hours per week, weekends required, days off during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic diagnostics (e.g., refrigerators, A/C units, garbage disposals).
- Travel between the main office and various rental properties throughout the day.
- Handle routine maintenance tasks such as replacing lightbulbs, collecting trash and delivering to the city dump.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with guests and property owners.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License (required).
- Basic repair and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.
- Preferred: Open-bed pickup truck or van for transporting various items such as garbage to the city dump, gas grills, window air condition units plus various supplies and tools.
