What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Branch Manager position at Long & Foster?
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Title Director, and the general supervision of the President of Long and Foster Settlement Services, manages staff and all internal and external operations for assigned office. Regular, predictable and dependable attendance is essential to satisfactory performance of this job.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Communicates and interacts directly with the Long and Foster Branch Managers and sales associates as well as any other real estate sales associates for the purpose of obtaining and retaining Title Capture for assigned office.
- Manages staff in assigned office, including hiring, training, coaching, counseling, approving time records, preparing and conducting performance reviews, recommending salary increases, and terminating.
- Manages profit and loss for assigned office. Reviews and tracks title capture units and percentages for assigned regions.
- Organizes and conducts title insurance/settlement procedures seminars in conjunction with title insurance underwriters for assigned regions.
- Contacts title insurance underwriters to resolve underwriting objections.
- Approves outgoing wires and all expenses for assigned offices within approval limits.
- Prepares and submits periodic reports as requested to President, L&F Settlement Services within all deadlines.
- Attends customer meetings and all company meetings, training, and conference calls.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and 7 years directly related title experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role. Must possess exceptional knowledge of the title industry and stay current on changing laws. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills and attention to details required.
Work Environment:
- Extensive telephone usage.
- Extensive oral and written communication required.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. to load and unload materials on to and off of vehicle.
- Daily travel in Company vehicle: Subject to outside weather conditions.
- Occasional travel to Company Headquarters, Regional Offices and other locations. Must be able to provide own transportation.
- Regular local travel. Must be able to provide own transportation.
- Periodic national travel.
- Regular use of computer mouse requires repetitive hand and wrist motion.
- Extensive use of calculator and/or adding machine.
- Regular reaching, grasping, and carrying of objects.
- Must wear cell phone or beeper during normal working hours.
- Time off may be restricted during peak work periods.
- Essential functions must be performed during regularly scheduled business hours.
Wage: $104,000 - $150,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.
