Long Hagan Huff-Harris is looking for a Senior Family Law Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of family law experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, exceptional advocacy skills, and a passion for mentoring junior attorneys while providing high-quality legal services to our clients. This is a Junior Partner track position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, and negotiations.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure timely and effective case management.
- Attend continuing legal education programs to stay abreast of changes in family law and maintain professional licensure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and the legal community.
- Provide guidance and feedback to Associate Attorneys regarding legal strategies, case management, and client interactions.
- Share knowledge and expertise with Associate Attorneys through formal training sessions, one-on-one meetings, and collaborative work on cases.
- Encourage professional growth and development in Associate Attorneys by identifying learning opportunities, setting performance goals, and offering constructive criticism.

Requirements:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills – A welcoming and polite demeanor is essential to success in this position. Additionally, clients expect prompt responses and follow-up to all correspondence, whether it’s over the phone or email. It is critical to remain composed even if the client expresses frustration.
- Superior Attention to Detail - Ability to switch gears with shifting priorities. Given all the moving parts and daily interruptions, it is critical that the Senior Associate Attorney be able to shift their attention while still being detail-oriented and focused on quality.

- Experienced - Prospective candidates must have: a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, admission to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar, and a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing divorce and family law. We also value strong litigation and negotiation skills, extensive trial experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
