About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to assist our Production Manager in Maryland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently, meeting all quality and safety standards. As a Production Supervisor, you will assist the Production Manager with managing a team of production employees, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties. You will also be responsible for monitoring production schedules, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise, and ensuring that all production targets are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience with production planning and scheduling software
  • Experience with quality control and assurance processes

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing/Auditing Files to ensure project feasibility
  • Arranging for measure and inspection of products
  • Ensuring materials are ordered correctly and timely
  • Ensuring that the materials received are correct and notated in the system as received
  • Assigning crews to complete project
  • Onboarding/Offboarding of subcontractors and other personnel in department
  • Scheduling project with customer
  • Ensure proper, timely and accurate communication is being delivered from personnel within department to customer
  • Managing schedule and workflow of project managers
  • Managing and assigning punchouts and partial installs as necessary
  • Responding to customer escalations appropriately and timely
  • Ensuring that projects are paid in full at completion and collecting Accounts Receivable
  • Ensuring permits are closed after conclusion of project
  • Reviewing, verifying and approving labor bills submitted by subs to ensure accuracy
  • Delegating a portion of the above tasks to personnel within the department that report to you
  • Generally ensuring that our customers are being given the highest quality service

Skills:

As a Production Supervisor, you will need to have strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage your team and work with other departments. You will also need excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify and address any issues that may arise during production. In addition, you will need to be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records of production data. Finally, you will need to be proficient in the use of production planning and scheduling software, as well as have a strong understanding of quality control and assurance processes.
