We are looking for a responsible Sample Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record samples that are dropped off to be analyzed at our laboratory facility. You will be responsible for receiving samples from clients and the field technician and checking the analysis requested on the corresponding chains of custody(manifest). A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail. The goal is to ensure we receive the samples and that they are entered into our LIMS software quickly and accurately based on the chain of custody/manifest that is normally filled out by the client.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Upload sample information from chain of custody to LIMS software
• Inspect contents to ensure samples are present and in the correct bottles
• Contact clients if a mistake is identified
• Ensure chains of custody are signed and filled out correctly
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory (bottles & gloves)

Skills

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
• Working knowledge of basic computer programs for entering data
• Basic math and recording abilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities
• Keen eye for detail
