Long Island EMDR is a therapy practice with offices in Bohemia, and Smithtown, NY, offering individual, family, and couples counseling. Our team of counselors specializes in treating children aged 6 , teens, and adults, focusing on EMDR, trauma-informed counseling, PTSD, CBT, grief and loss counseling, depression, anxiety, and attachment concerns.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site or hybrid role for a Clinician at Long Island EMDR in Bohemia, or Smithtown, NY. The Clinician will be responsible for providing individual, family, and/or couples counseling sessions, applying EMDR (if trained) and trauma-informed counseling techniques, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in EMDR therapy (preferred but not required), trauma-informed counseling, PTSD, CBT, grief and loss counseling, depression, anxiety, and attachment concerns
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients across different age groups
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker, or Psychologist (or eligible for licensure)
- Experience with diverse client populations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
