Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Recovery to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from surgical procedures and other medical interventions. Duties
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the recovery phase.
- Administer medications and manage IV insertion as required.
- Conduct physical examinations to assess patient recovery progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
- Assist with critical care transport when necessary, ensuring safe transfer of patients.
- Manage equipment such as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patient use.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in patient records.
- Support patients with disabilities by adapting care approaches to meet their unique needs.
- Participate in memory care initiatives for patients requiring specialized attention.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in outpatient settings or recovery room environments preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
