Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Probiotic Lab Chemist to support our research, development, and quality control efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, biochemistry, or a related field, with hands-on experience in probiotic analysis, fermentation, and product formulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbiological and chemical analyses of probiotic strains and finished products.
- Perform quality control testing to ensure product safety, stability, and efficacy.
- Develop and optimize fermentation processes for probiotic cultures.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to formulate new probiotic products.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, and microbial incubators.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in probiotic research and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in probiotics, food science, or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of microbial cultivation, fermentation, and analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with probiotic strain identification and characterization.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for dietary supplements and functional foods.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA sequencing).
