What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Long Island Professional Medical Services?
Hello! We're looking for a medical assistant to be a part of our internal medicine practice in Garden City. The ideal candidate is a reliable, compassionate person who works well in a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Filing and preparing charts
- Preparing and cleaning exam rooms
- Perform EKG, PFT, hearing tests
- Ability to be a medical scribe is a plus!
MUST be trained and proficient with EKGs. Phlebotomy is not performed in office, so it's not a requirement.
Position can be either full time or part time for the right candidate.
