About the Role:
As a Dental Assistant at Long Island Select Healthcare Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your primary responsibility will be to assist dentists during procedures, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and comfort. You will also be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, preparing instruments, and managing patient records. Your compassionate approach will help to alleviate patient anxiety and foster a welcoming atmosphere. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact patient satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our dental services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in dental radiography..
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain infection control standards.
- Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and updating treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote better dental health.
- Ensure the dental office is organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
