Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in organizing and conducting daily practices and training sessions.
- Help develop and implement game strategies and techniques.
- Support the recruitment of student-athletes, including scouting and evaluating talent.
- Provide individual and team coaching, focusing on skill development and performance improvement.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and promote a culture of academic excellence.
- Assist in game-day preparations, including warm-ups, strategy discussions, and post-game analysis.
- Collaborate with the head coach on scheduling, budget management, and travel arrangements.
- Utilize Excel for tracking player statistics, analyzing performance metrics, and managing budgets.
- Engage with the athletic department, alumni, and community to promote the volleyball program.
- Adhere to NCAA regulations and university policies.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their personal and athletic goals.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
