Position Summary :
The IT Support Technician manages information systems programs across our practice locations. This role involves developing and maintaining the network environment within an assigned territory, collaborating with the Director of IT and department managers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. The Technician also contributes to the development and implementation of software program enhancements and other IT initiatives.
Job Duties & Essential Functions : .
- Assist with all levels of hardware / software configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all devices, including but not limited to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, Microsoft applications, and other applications.
- Provide on-site, telephone, and email-based support for hardware / software installation and configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networking equipment, including but not limited to routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, and telephony systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Perform some Active Directory and email administration.
- Work with support and / or product development personnel to troubleshoot and work around product issues.
- Perform upgrades, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.) at all SightMD locations.
- Recognize and escalate problematic technical issues within the organization or to outside vendors.
- Must have a current, valid driver’s license and travel to various locations throughout CT with equipment in company vehicles.
- On-call rotation is required.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
- Knowledge of PBX phone systems.
- EMR troubleshooting from user to back-end level.
- Signage and EMR development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Mavenlink (PM tool) administrator for SightMD-related projects.
- Wi-Fi administration.
- Work alongside the IT team on the acquisition process of all new locations from a technology standpoint.
