PRIMARY PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY Set-up machinery to produce parts to meet customer requirements. Produce quality parts and meets production rates per company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for proper machinery set up. Notifies supervisor if the machine isn’t operating properly.

· Responsible for always running quality parts. Notifies supervisor of any problems.

· Responsible for emptying boxes and loading the feed pan with a hand-held magnet as required.

· Responsible for always maintaining an acceptable production rate.

· Reads customer blueprints.

· Assists with machine maintenance as needed.

· Handles all paperwork properly: i.e., enters information in MES, signs shop travelers, keeps proper paperwork with parts, etc.

· Follows all safety and housekeeping policies.

· Maintains an acceptable attendance record.

· Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES There are zero (0) supervisors reporting to this position.

This position supervises no one.

ORGANIZATION This position reports to: Department Leads

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING This position requires regular contact with inner company personnel.

DECISION MAKING This position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods/procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & · Authorization to work in the United States required.

CERTIFICATIONS · High school degree or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE At least two years’ experience in manufacturing.

Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED · Ability to review and understand customer prints

· Ability to set up jobs to meet customer requirements.

· Computer and Software use skills.

· Problem Solving

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed near moving mechanical parts. Domestic travel may subject the employee to various environmental circumstances.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands or arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), and depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) are required to read documents on paper and computer screens. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) is helpful when dealing with color-coded documents. Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up/down or to the left/right while eyes are fixed on a given point. Physical demands are moderate. Needs to work with computers, access the internet, and use various computer software programs. Travel requires appropriate vision for transportation on their own.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
