Our Corporate office is currently looking for a Full Time Medical Biller! Come be apart of our team.
- Implements Long Term Medical Supply Corp’s Mission Statement
- Assists with all necessary re-submittal/collection duties
- Assists with maintaining accurate and complete records concerning billing activity; pulls inactive files for storage
- Assists with manual or electronic processing of reimbursement claims and invoices and keeps updated on using current computer software and current billing policies
- Verifies that paperwork received is accurate and complete for item or service billed
- Communicates problems and concerns which may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing with supervisor
- Participates in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities
- Participates in traditional and e-learning programs
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures; reporting compliance issues to supervisor
- Maintains quality results by following standards
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities to include traditional and e-learning programs
- Protects value by keeping collection information confidential
- Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards
- Enhances billing department reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Assists in all aspects of the billing/invoicing process
- Receives and verify field paperwork daily: Review for accuracy and completeness.
- Collects and retains any necessary information from vendors and/or clients as needed
- Assists in accounts payable processing
- Prepares various reports and documents as requested
- Assists with accounts receivable
- Conducts administrative tasks including filing, scanning, mail preparation, and answering phones
- Completes special projects
