Longfellow Design Build, Inc., a reputable design-build firm and real estate developer is seeking an entry-level Information Technology Support Specialist with a background in helpdesk support, troubleshooting, and audio-visual (AV) technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance for IT and AV systems across our organizations, ensuring seamless operation and support. This role requires travel to various sites as needed for setup, maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio-visual systems such as projectors, video conferencing equipment, digital displays, and sound systems.
- Support and maintain video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex, etc.), ensuring a high-quality meeting experience.
- Perform routine system checks and ensure all AV and IT equipment is functioning optimally.
- Assist with the setup and operation of AV and IT equipment for meetings, events, and presentations.
- Travel to company locations as required to provide on-site support for deployments, installations, and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS), mobile device support, and basic networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with AV technologies such as displays, control systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and transport IT/AV equipment as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel, sometimes with short notice.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A are a plus but not required.
- Experience with AV control systems (Primarily Sonos).
- Basic computer troubleshooting skills.
