About the Role :
Longfellow is seeking to hire an Analyst or Associate for our Portfolio Management team to work in our Boston office with a background in commercial real estate or other financial services industry. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the highest level of integrity. This is a dynamic role that will assist the portfolio management team, which is responsible for both portfolio management and investor relations / new product development. This role demands a high level of collaboration within Longfellow as well as strong communication skills externally. The position will be focused primarily on portfolio analysis, investor requests / reporting, and assisting to grow the Longfellow business through capital and investment formation. The position demands a dedicated individual with leadership skills, facility with numbers, expertise in Microsoft Excel, good people skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and solve problems.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and materials for internal analysis and outside investors;
- Respond in a timely fashion to recurring and ad-hoc investor requests;
- Track and analyze various key performance indicators at each property and across the portfolio;
- Assist in compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
- Perform portfolio roll up of various performance metrics;
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda to be presented to Investment Committee and investors for approval of any changes to business plan;
- Assist in preparation of quarterly investment board meetings;
