The Employer is a Colorado non-profit organization with a 25-year history dedicated to promoting donkeys as companion animals and providing rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, retirement, and end-of-life care for donkeys at risk of neglect, abuse, or death.
General Job Description
The Maintenance Manager ensures the functionality, safety, and presentation of the Employer’s facilities while maintaining compliance with fire and safety codes. This is an at-will, non-smoking position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs on buildings, fences, gates, paddocks, and infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance, on tractors, trucks, attachments, and other motorized equipment.
- Level driveways, walkways, and paddocks.
- Maintain and repair automatic waterers.
- Conduct minor electrical repairs (e.g., lights, heaters, cameras).
- Perform groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, trimming, snow plowing, and weed/rodent control.
- Dispose of brush and debris appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations and conduct periodic drills.
- Respond to and assist with animal-related emergencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum age: 21.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and insurability.
- Reliable transportation, even in poor weather.
- At least 2 years of experience in basic electrical, plumbing, and construction work.
- Proficiency in operating farm equipment, trucks, and trailers.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to respond to on-call emergencies.
- Experience operating with power and hand tools.

Compensation and Terms
· Position Type: Part-time (20-32 hrs/week) hourly, non-exempt from overtime.
· Schedule: Tue-Sat
· Pay: $24-$28/hour DOE
