The Pressure Valve Technician performs pressure relief valve repair in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code approved quality manual. This role involves thorough calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs, as well as operating various equipment such as forklifts and sandblasters. The technician is responsible for disassembling valves, documenting job data, and coordinating with office personnel on repair requirements. The position requires maintaining a clean work area and may involve field assignments. This job is in Williston,ND must be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Perform pressure relief valve repair in accordance with quality standards
- Complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs
- Operate equipment including forklifts, sandblasters, and parts washers
- Disassemble valves without damaging parts per manufacturer’s manuals
- Document and enter job data into the database, including photographs
- Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valves per manufacturer’s repair manuals
- Assist in field assignments as required
- Attend job and safety training as necessary
- Inspect valves and diagnose issues
- Disassemble and reassemble valves for repair
- Clean and lubricate valves as needed
- Replace damaged or worn parts
- Install and test valves to ensure proper operation
- Read technical manuals and engineering specifications
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Use hand and power tools to complete repairs
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
