Job Description: Longhorn is in search of a qualified Safety Relief Valve Technician to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in inspecting, testing, and maintaining safety valves to guarantee optimal functionality and adherence to industry regulations. This role entails working with various pressure relief valves across multiple industrial environments.
Responsibilities: - Conduct pressure relief valve repairs in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code-approved quality manual. - Complete all calibration and documentation related to testing and repairs thoroughly. - Operate equipment such as forklifts, sandblasters, parts washers, and propylene torches. - Disassemble valves carefully, ensuring no damage to parts, following the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual. - Document and input job data into the database, including photographic evidence. - Collaborate with office staff regarding repair needs. - Keep the work area clean and organized. - Maintain equipment in the designated area as necessary. - Clean, blast, and paint valve components as required. - Return valves and parts to their appropriate bins and boxes. - Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valves according to the manufacturer’s repair manuals. - Assist with field assignments as needed. - Climb and work at various heights depending on job requirements. - Operate motor vehicles as necessary. - Attend job and safety training sessions as required. Qualifications:
