What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Coordinator - BA position at Longhorn Imaging Center?
We are looking for a Patient Coordinator to join our team at our upscale medical office located in Bastrop. This is a very fast paced position, so the right candidate will need to be someone who can multitask and stay motivated to giving the best customer services to our patients! This is definitely not a sit behind a desk and do-nothing kind of job.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the highest quality customer service to patients -- THIS IS A MUST!
- Interacting with patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Checking numerous patients in and out at once.
- Answer incoming phone calls and make outbound calls to patients, Attorneys offices, Doctors’ offices, etc.
- Discuss patient’s insurance breakdown and estimated balance with them.
- Process emailed requests; records, patient follow ups, etc.
- Keep office neat, clean and organized
- Learn and utilize medical scheduling software
- Maintain schedule and ensure that it stays fully booked.
SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Detail oriented, problem solver with multi-tasking ability – very important
- Professional, ethical and dependable
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
- High school graduation or GED; some college preferred
- Insurance verification and authorization knowledge is a plus, but not required
- Spanish speaker is a plus, but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
