Armed Security Officer (Full-time)

Job Summary:

Start Date: March 16th

Schedule: Thursday 1630-2200, Friday & Saturday 1100-2300, Sunday 1100-2200

We are seeking a highly vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer to join our security team at a Restaurant. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by monitoring patrons, POS systems, and responding to emergencies. This role requires a skilled individual who can handle various security situations while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

Pay:

• $17 per hour
• Pay days 3rd and 18th of each month

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and Surveillance: Ensure guests have paid for their meals and drinks. Monitor POS system and tables to verify guest have paid before leaving.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to security alarms, disturbances, or emergencies. Be prepared to take necessary action, including contacting law enforcement or emergency services, as appropriate.
• Use of Firearm: Carry and maintain a firearm in accordance with state and local laws, and be prepared to use it to protect residents, guests, or property in case of an imminent threat.
• Surveillance Monitoring: Continuously monitor POS S ystems, providing alerts and reporting any suspicious behavior or incidents. Assist in the investigation of any reported criminal activities.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report all incidents, activities, and security breaches in a clear and accurate manner. Provide written reports as needed for management or law enforcement.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with visitors, and staff to maintain a secure but welcoming environment. Address concerns or requests for assistance in a courteous manner.
• Enforce Rules and Regulations: Enforce property rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests. Assist in resolving conflicts or disturbances when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional security-related certifications or training is preferred.
• Valid state-issued concealed carry permit (or other firearm licenses) and a clean criminal background check.
• Proven experience as an armed security officer, law enforcement, or military service is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and surveillance systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time, and respond quickly to incidents.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Overtime
