Number of Positions Available: (7)
FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Onsite, Pflugerville, TX.
Compensation: COMMISSION ONLY; Canvasser’s will receive a commission of $1000.00 for each contract signed. All commissions will be paid out on the last day of the following month.

The Solar Canvassers will be responsible for introducing Longhorn Solar’s products and services to a wide range of people. They will act as marketing specialists who will be a liaison between future customers and the sales department to ensure the timely and successful sale of products and services according to customer needs. All Longhorn Solar team members are expected to exemplify the mission and values established by Longhorn Solar Corp.
Essential functions:
Amongst other responsibilities, the Canvasser Representative will:
Memorize and recite sales scripts and statements prepared and provided by the employer
Go door-to-door to introduce the employer’s product and offers to potential and existing customers and make cold calls to follow-up
Demonstrate a vast knowledge of the product, service policies being canvassed to demonstrate the benefits and convince potential customers to buy our proposals
Get information, such as contact details from potential leads and clients for follow-up
Confidently answer questions and overcome excuses to meet objectives
Attend industry events and exhibitions including fairs, rallies, and shows to market products and services
Consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly quotas for client information and signature acquisition

Supervisory responsibilities: None
Work environment: This role is executed in both a field and professional office environment. Routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and vehicles
Physical demands: This role will require the physical demands of sitting, standing, bending, lifting up to 20 lbs., and periods of intermittent walking
Travel required: LOCAL TRAVEL ONLY, team members must have a reliable source of transportation
Required education and experience:
Highschool Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent, candidates with a minimum of 2 years sales experience will be considered if no degree is held
Minimum One Year Sales Experience
Excellent organizational skills
Outstanding communication skills
Preferred education and experience:
Experience In The Skills Of Marketing, Communication, And Persuasion
Minimum of one year Home Service Sales
Growing interest in the Solar Industry
Additional eligibility requirements:
If hired, you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Every employee of Longhorn Solar may be subject to a drug screening if extended an offer of employment
