Who You Are:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Dietary Aide. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.
Position Summary:
The primary assignment of the dietary aide is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures. This includes the responsibilities and duties listed below:
Accountabilities:
- Prepares trays/plates following instruction given either in writing or verbally
- Use portion control procedures
- Performs routine sanitation responsibilities as assigned by supervisor using required cleaning and sanitizing agents
- Transfers supplies and equipment from loading docks to storerooms and/or other locations; Ensures that food and supplies are available for the next meals; Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies; Ensure proper storage of food and supplies
- Assembles, operate safely, breakdown and clean dish machines, serving lines, toaster, beverage machines, coffee machines and other food service related equipment
- Monitors and record temperature gauges on all ware-washing equipment on the schedule provided by the supervisor
- Adheres to universal precautions and sanitary and infection control policies and procedures
- Maintains work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards

Qualifications
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and work cooperatively with other associates.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs to waist height and 35 lbs to shoulder height.
- Must be able to push 200 lbs on a cart with casters.
