Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, including machinery and vehicles. This role involves assembling, transmitting, and servicing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The Equipment Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by ensuring that all equipment is functioning efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and machinery .
- Assemble and disassemble equipment as necessary for repairs or upgrades.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues with equipment and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of service performed on all equipment.
- Utilize welding skills for repairs or modifications on machinery as needed.
- Operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely during maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in equipment technology.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery operations and maintenance practices is preferred.
- Proficient in welding techniques and the safe operation of cranes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members and management.
