Responsibilities:
Demonstrates love for God
- Expresses specific knowledge of the Bible and its application to subject area(s)
- Practices daily devotions of prayer and reading and studying of God’s Word
- Gives Christian service to others both within and outside the school
- Models an exemplary Christian walk in speech and actions
- Submits to authority out of obedience to Christ
Demonstrates love for students
- Treats each child as uniquely gifted by God for the purpose of serving others
- Shows through actions that each child is made to reflect God Himself
- Disciplines all students fairly and firmly out of love for them
- Encourages all students persistently
- Guides all students in helping other students learn
- Evaluates students’ progress in learning with announced criteria fairly applied
Demonstrates Christian professional competence and vision
- Shows a strong knowledge of learning theory, curriculum design, and subject area(s)
- Constructs and/or uses courses, units, and lessons that integrate knowledge
- Selects materials and lesson designs that specifically carry out the goals derived from the school’s mission statement
- Uses evaluation instruments that match the school’s goals and specific objectives, that allow each child to show well what he has learned, and that help students meet high expectations for learning
- Fits students with the “glasses of Scripture” for viewing all of life rightly
- Pursues further learning of subject area(s) while seeking the best pedagogy for the school’s goal
Communicates effectively according to Biblical standards
- Speaks clearly, honestly, and with great concern for the audience
- Uses fresh analogies to connect new concepts to students’ experiences
- Relates stories of God’s faithfulness, personal and communal, with clarity and enthusiasm
- Varies the means (visual, audible, tactile) and language (abstract, concrete, metaphorical, etc.), depending on the subject and the needs of all children
- Encourages each child’s expression, and helps students to adopt Biblical principles for making choices
- Models awe for the destructive power of sin and God’s reconciliation to His creation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ
Builds Christian community within and outside the school
- Gives help to fellow teachers and support staff
- Assists students beyond the classroom (playground, hallways, extracurricular, activities, personal guidance, etc.)
- Meets with staff members to listen, to learn, to worship, and to exchange advice for helping students meet the goals of the school
- Contacts parents for help in educating their child(ren)
- Provides a classroom atmosphere (displays, bulletin boards, arrangement of furniture, personal touches, etc.) that fosters Christian community
- Maintains confidentiality in school matters
Education Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Childhood Development, or related field
- 1-5 years elementary school classroom experience (preferred)
- State Teaching Certification/ACSI Certification (preferred)
- Experience with Google Classroom preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and/or crawl
- Reach with hands and arms
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Speak and listen
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- May occasionally be required to drive a motor vehicle

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
