Overview
The responsibilities of the Manager of Collections is to develop and implement strategies to effectively manage and collect outstanding debts owed to our organization. Minimize bad debt, DSO, and credit risk.
Our Pharmacy group focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and other specialized care centers nationwide.
An ideal candidate would have strong leadership skills with experience in medical revenue cycle management across multiple sites and process improvement.
This position is a remote opportunity with approximately 5% travel. Applicants can reside anywhere within the Continental USA.

Responsibilities
- Creates and implements procedures for maximizing debt recovery while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Ensures employees are following company policies and providing excellent customer service; providing guidance, support, and training as needed
- Implementing measures to improve productivity and success rates
- Provides guidance on available discounts and other available payment arrangements in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Prepares regular reports on collections activities, presenting data and insights to upper management
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and customer service, to resolve complex or escalated customer issues
- Make sure the collection department is following company policies and regulations
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in collections, implementing new strategies or technologies as needed to improve efficiency and results
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Performs other tasks as assigned
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Four years of experience in discipline, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role required
- Six years of experience in discipline desired
- Strong knowledge of collections practices, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills required

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
