Manages activities related to purchasing and material needs planning. Provides assistance with product selection, sourcing, acquisition, delivery, and utilization.
Works collaboratively with corporate and GPO representative to manage contract compliance and product standardization.
Ensures organizational compliance with new and existing corporate and GPO contracts. Verifies that vendors abide by specified terms and conditions of contracts negotiated at the corporate level.
Serves as MM representative on various hospital committees.
Collaborates with director and corporate MM team to effect a highly efficient supply chain management system.
Continuously strives to develop purchasing systems into a model of best demonstrated industry practice to achieve a minimally intrusive purchasing processes for all customers.
Manages and coordinates the purchasing, receiving, warehousing, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and services to meet the needs of the organization in a highly efficient and cost effective manner.
Reviews purchase requests as necessary to ensure compliance with hospital purchasing policies.
Continuously devises innovative application of the MMIS system's inventory management technologies to reduce the total delivered cost of all materials.
Manages periodic cycle count processes to verify inventory levels. Assists and supports director with taking of hospital wide bi-annual inventories.
Acts as a resource and encourages MM staff in the utilization of MMIS software to increase productivity and improve analytical effectiveness.
Prioritizes and manages work assignments so that all work is completed on time with optimal results.
Delegates and schedules department staff to ensure adequate support and service to all hospital departments and off-site facilities.
Supervises and evaluates performance of staff according to approved job descriptions and established policies and procedures. Regularly monitors performance of staff and gives objective counseling as required.
