What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registrar position at Longview Regional Medical Center?
Registers patients and processes related paperwork. Interviews patients, prepares standard registration forms, and performs other admission or transfer related tasks. Performs clerical and secretarial work as needed. Responsible for accurate completion of patient demographic and financial requirements on all admission types. Excellent customer service is a priority for a successful patient access representative. Must know EMTALA and HIPAA laws as they apply to the patients and hospital policy.
Prefer Medical office or hospital registration experience with knowledge of medical terminology, EMTALA and HIPAA laws
