ARDMS certification required
State License as a general radiographer or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
Schedule Information
Call Requirements : (2) weekend call shifts per month; Fri, Sat, or Sun 7p-7a call
Additional Details
The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to : abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
Proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotom) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
