What are the responsibilities and job description for the CO-OP STUDENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY position at Longwood Gardens?
Through our Cooperative Education Program (Co-Op Program), students complement their classroom learning during the academic year. Students enrolled in their senior year of high school or in an undergraduate technical college are invited to apply.
Depending on their schedules, students in the Cooperative Education Program come to Longwood daily-mornings or afternoons or as their schedules allow-to work in a career area of interest to them.
This Co-Op position will work with our Information Technology (IT) department.
A completed application includes :
- Complete all fields on the application form.
- Upload a copy of your résumé.
- Complete the statement of purpose on the application, describing how this experience will benefit your career and describe why you would be a good candidate for this position. Please keep your statement to less than 500 words.
- Copy of transcripts of all courses (must show cumulative GPA) either uploaded or emailed directly to studentprograms@longwoodgardens.org (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
- A reference from your teacher or advisor regarding your achievements and potential as a Co-Op student (emailed directly from the teacher or advisor to studentprograms@longwoodgardens.org.
NOTE : All candidates will be notified by email or phone of application results. Completion of a successful drug screen test by Longwood's designated medical facility is required of all Longwood employees and students upon arrival.
