What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACILITIES ASSISTANT, CIVIL DIVISION - Seasonal position at Longwood Gardens?

Longwood Gardens is seeking an individual to support our Facilities team with daily summer season fountain cleaning of the Italian Water Garden, the gardens surrounding our Main Fountain Garden, as well as the new West Conservatory water features. Responsibilities include:
- Operating a mobile pressure washer and mobile pool vacuum to clean debris in Main Fountain Garden and Italian Water Gardens.
- Assisting the completion of daily work orders, such as masonry repairs, excavations, paving repairs and display setups.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with high attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to work independently
- The ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
- The ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- The ability to operate small equipment, such as a pressure washer and pool vacuum
- The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A valid driver’s license
