What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOSPITALITY LEAD position at Longwood Gardens?

We are seeking Hospitality Leads to support a variety of events across the Gardens from live performing arts events, informal programming experiences, and private event rentals. Responsibilities include:
- Welcome and assist artists, including backstage support and local transportation.
- Serve as floor lead during Performing Arts events, addressing ticketing, seating, and guest service questions and concerns
- Greet and direct guests during Carillon Concerts and Tower Climbs, ensuring smooth crowd flow Provide transportation and escort services for special guests across the property.
- Assist guests with assigned seating during fireworks and fountain shows.
- Greet and support vendors, ensuring they have necessary resources.
- Escort scheduled photography sessions to enhance the guest experience.
- Provide coat check services during special events.
- Serve as point of contact for holiday entertainers, assisting with navigation around the Gardens.
The schedule varies and requires working an average of 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid driver's license is required
- The ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions with long periods of walking and standing
- Ability to operate vehicles such as golf carts
- Exceptional customer service, communication, conflict resolution, and hospitality skills
- Proven experience in the performing arts is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
