The Longwood Medical Area Childcare Center (LMACCC) is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our amazing team. We are seeking teachers who are caring, passionate about learning, and looking to make a positive difference in children’s lives. Our teachers work collaboratively with one another and our tenured management staff is here to support you every step of the way.

- Gain a positive, hands-on experience assisting the classroom teacher as needed.
- On-call position. Hours of 7:30 am-10:00 am or 8 am-10:00 am are the most needed.
- Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that meets the needs of young children.
- Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff parents, and children.
- Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC.
- Participate in fun staff events such as pajama day in order to foster a positive environment.
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
- Positive, reliable, and encouraging personality.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
- Excellent team player; flexible.
- Ready to learn! Openness to new ideas and/or approaches.
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
