Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Shop Technician to perform vehicle repairs, including bodywork, frame alignment, and refinishing. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive repair, works efficiently, and takes pride in delivering top-notch results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening.
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking.
- Conduct welding and fabrication as needed for repairs.
- Inspect and diagnose vehicle damage to provide accurate repair estimates.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair progress.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in auto body repair techniques, including MIG welding, sanding, and refinishing.
- Knowledge of frame machines, measuring systems, and repair tools.
- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
