What are the responsibilities and job description for the PreK Paraprofessional position at Lonoke Primary School?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities or assignments
- Assist in preparation of classroom materials
- Assist with record keeping, reporting and filing
- Maintain an attractive and orderly environment
- Supervise students as assigned and support student learning
- Assist with the assessment and evaluation of learning as necessary
- Assist with identification of and attention to children’s health and hygiene needs
- Engender positive communications with parents
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and data
- Assist students in behavior modification
- Participate in staff development; attend required training sessions as assigned
- Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met
- Display professionalism in appearance, attitude, and actions
Must have the following to qualify:
60 college hours or passed paraprofessional Praxis scores
