Key Responsibilities
- Support the mechanical engineering, automation, and fabrication team, helping with the design, installation, repair, and modification of pharmaceutical processing and facility equipment.
- Work tasks may include: 2D / 3D CAD drawing updates and design, basic fabrication using hand and power tools, fabrication and electrical / instrumentation shop organization (6S activities), coordination with engineers, machinists, and fabricators to assemble and deliver custom equipment to support internal customers.
- Currently enrolled at a college or university or a recent graduate in a Scientific/Engineering field, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
- Enthusiastic about the biopharmaceutical industry and learning about industry technology
- Strong Interest in working on multiple projects at once in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Knowledge of 3D CAD, (SolidWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of 2D CAD, (DraftSight / AutoCAD) a plus
- Knowledge of basic hand, power, and manual machine tools (mill and lathe) is a plus
- Displays good problem-solving skills
- Exhibits time management skills
