Job Description
The Associate Director, Quality Control directs and supervises the Quality Control (QC) unit, overseeing daily operations, strategic direction, and budget development. This role provides leadership and advises all work activities for Functional Testing Areas, ensuring key critical parameters and customer requirements are met. The incumbent understands and applies financials to manage laboratories effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily QC operations, including budget development and management
- Direct QC management of release testing laboratories, EM/Utility Testing, and Equipment Lifecycle
- Participate in technology transfer of customer documentation and testing protocols, client meetings, and compliance audits
- Support the implementation of new technology within QC
- Assist Department Managers/Supervisors with out-of-specification investigations, technical troubleshooting/problem-solving
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal/external customers
- Assist with implementing department test methods, writing/revising bills of materials, and participating in regulatory audits
- Analyze Key KPIs and cost center financials, ensuring efficient and economical department operations
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive quality programs and maximize productivity
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools
