Job Title: Systems Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support our ongoing operations in Portsmouth, NH. This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days of on-site work and 3 days of remote work per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to operations customers to ensure computerized systems infrastructure for process automation and QC laboratory systems meet production needs.
- Assist with planning and execution of plant projects involving computerized infrastructure changes and process improvements.
- Support infrastructure (servers, networks, workstations, storage, and client devices) for Automation, Business Analytics, Quality Control, and other information systems used to support Operations.
- Maintain system integrity and identify performance and security improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support to resolve issues outside of normal business hours.
- Stay up-to-date on new methodologies pertinent to information systems and introduce them with limited supervisory input.
- Contribute to design of new applications and solutions.
- Execute test scripts with support and guidance from supervisor.
- Own change requests and participate in all aspects of the change control system.
- Learn, understand, and follow 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
- Assist the Quality department with deviation investigations.
- Participate in RCAs as Operations Information Systems (OIS) representative.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or significant related work experience accepted.
- Preferred areas of study: Computer Science, Information Technology, or applicable Engineering field.
- Experience developing technical documentation for networks and information systems.
- Experience with servers, storage, network, and related infrastructure fundamentals; operating systems; Windows and Linux; deployment applications; Symantec Ghost, Acronis; programming languages; VB Script, .Net, and SQL preferred; Cisco and 3Com network switching and network monitoring utilities; and/or with Citrix Metaframe or Microsoft Terminal Services.
- Ability to think critically and logically.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
