Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Optometric Technician to assist Optometrists with the vision care of patients.
Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, educating patients on the care and maintenance of lenses, explaining the testing process to patients and administering preliminary testing, taking patient histories, maintain and clean examination equipment, scheduling referrals and keeping records of inventory. Participation in staff training programs or continuing education events.
We are looking for someone with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated, and possess an ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or clinic is desirable but not mandatory.
