Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities for our general contracting projects. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Coordination:
- Supervise daily site operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers.
- Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address safety hazards promptly.
- Ensure work is completed to the highest quality standards and rectify deficiencies.
Resource Management:
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment to avoid delays.
- Track inventory and coordinate deliveries as needed.
- Minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress reports, and workforce attendance.
- Document incidents, delays, or changes in project scope.
- Assist in reviewing and processing work permits, inspections, and compliance paperwork.
Team Leadership & Communication:
- Provide guidance and training to workers as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site supervision or a related role.
- Education: High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant certifications preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
