Duties
- Prepare patients for eye examinations by taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
- Assist optometrists during examinations by performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable atmosphere during their visits.
- Handle retail math related to eyewear sales and inventory management.
- Operate various office systems and equipment efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain cleanliness in the office.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with retail math for managing sales transactions effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Experience working with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during visits.

- Strong front desk skills, including excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.46 - $20.58 per hour
