*Position is bonus eligible up to 25% annually based on individual and company performance.
Job Overview: This position is responsible for the Fleet Operations and Maintenance and reports to the Corporate Fleet Manager with a dotted line to the Region Vice President.
Responsibilities:
Ensure Monthly PM, Annual DOT, State, and local inspections are in compliant at all locations.
Work with Branch Management, Fleet Managers to help meet and exceed fleet budget expectations.
Ensure that all parts inventory, parts purchases, labor, and outside repairs updates in the GMS maintenance software program for accurate reporting at all locations.
Review GMS monthly reporting with Branch Managers, Fleet Managers, and/or Shop Leads.
All vehicle transfers need to approval by Region Fleet Manager.
Monitor all vehicle replacements for disposal, work with Corporate Fleet Manager for title and documents.
Ensure all locations utilize and comply with national vendor account incentives and collaborate closely with existing vendors to maintain a solid working relationship.Schedule and develop vehicle training on going for mechanics and Fleet Managers
Ensure all shops are in a safe and clean environment with proper tooling.
Work collectively in troubleshooting and diagnosing of vehicle related problems,
Major fleet expense repairs reviewed and approved by the Region Fleet Manager.
A Fleet Audit are once a year for each location by the Region Fleet Manager. This audit will be entered into the Cams Fleet Audit Program.
Work with all Branch locations on the TPS Sentinel.
Other duties as assigned by Fleet Maintenance as needed.
Primary Qualifications:
Diesel and Gas equipment certification is a PLUS.
Must have a minimum of ten (10) years recent fleet, automotive, and/or truck vehicle maintenance experience.
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Individual Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of automotive electrical and air-conditioning systems required.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and related software products.
Operational knowledge of automotive equipment and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting & repairs of gasoline and diesel automotive equipment as needed.
Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges (in English).
Working Conditions:
Work performed in a semi-enclosed structure and outdoors.
Environment involves chemical handling, gasoline/diesel fumes and intermittent high noise exposure.
Travel to shops within the districts when required.
Ability to hoist any size vehicle with lift device (vehicle jack) using foot and arm pumping motion.
Ability to lift and hold parts in position while lying on back in a horizontal position on concrete floor.
Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in horizontal position for prolonged periods of time.
